  • Properties and Applications of PVC PASTE RESIN

  • Properties and is widely used in many fields.

    1. Chemical structure:

E-PVC usually consist of a variety of resins and thickeners, and their main components are polymers, the exact composition of which may vary depending on the application. The common ones are epoxy resin and polyester resin.

    2. Physical Properties:

       - Appearance: generally a transparent or translucent paste, the color can vary according to the added pigments or fillers.

       - Viscosity: E-PVC have a high viscosity, which makes them easy to coat and mold.

       - Density: The density of the E-PVCis usually between 1.0 and 1.5 g/cm³, with specific values varying according to different formulations.

    3. Thermal Properties:

       - Melting Point/Glass Transition Temperature: the melting point and glass transition temperature of different resins are different, usually in the range of 60-200.

       - Thermal Stability: E-PVC have good thermal stability within a certain temperature range, and will degrade beyond a certain temperature.

    4. Mechanical Properties:

       - Compressive strength: the E-PVC has high compressive strength after curing.

       - TENSILE STRENGTH: The tensile strength is good, and its performance can be improved according to different modification methods.

    5. Electrical properties:

       - Insulation: most E-PVC have good electrical insulation properties and are suitable for use as electrical insulation materials.

       - Dielectric constant: The dielectric constant is usually low and suitable for high frequency applications.

    6. Chemical resistance:

E-PVC have good resistance to a wide range of acids, , salts and other chemicals and can be used in corrosive environments.

  • Applications

    1. Automotive industry: e.g. bonding of body structure parts, windows, lamps, etc.. Good temperature and chemical resistance.

    2. Electrical & Electronic: used for encapsulation, insulation and bonding of electronic components. , protect the components from the environment.

    3. Construction materials: Applied in construction adhesive and caulking materials to enhance the stability of structure.

    4. Paints and inks: Used as a film-forming substance in paints and inks to improve the adhesion and abrasion resistance of coatings.

    5. Composites: as matrix resin in the preparation of composite materials, combined with fiber reinforcing materials to improve the mechanical properties of composite materials.

    6. Crafts: Used in the manufacture of various crafts and decorations, providing good surface gloss and finishing effects.
